All members of the crew shall belong to one of the six divisions, according to their training and assignment. Each crewmember should perform only their assigned duties, except in the event of an emergency. The divisions are:
- ENGINEERING.
Responsible for the establishment of a mining camp in every sector of the planet, clearing ground for the same, and constructing whatever infrastructure is necessary to ensure that the camp will be sustainable and that all local hazards are dealt with.
- SCIENCE & RESEARCH.
Responsible for accurately mapping each sector, analyzing samples of local flora and fauna, analyzing alien artifacts to determine their origin and purpose, and determining the cause of all unexplained phenomena encountered.
- LOGISTICS.
Responsible for keeping the Mobile Surveying Platform and its equipment clean and in good repair, preparing meals, and moving resources to and from the platform as needed.
- SECURITY.

- MEDICAL.
Responsible for maintaining the crew’s mental and physical health. Deals with injuries and illnesses. Works with Science & Research division to investigate local pathogens and health risks.
- PILOTING.
Responsible for piloting the Mobile Surveying Platform and controlling its systems. Maintains the Mobile Surveying Platform’s vehicle fleet, and uses it to provide transportation and infrastructure.
Each division shall have at least one OFFICER, appointed by Ozymandias Pandimensional Mining Corporation Headquarters. These officers are responsible for establishing and enforcing the duty roster, performing administrative functions, and making regular reports to Headquarters. All regular crewmembers report directly to their division’s officers, and the officers in turn report to headquarters. In order to encourage flexibility and outside-the-box thinking in its employees, the Ozymandias Pandimensional Mining Corporation does not dictate a precise command structure, leaving it up to each platform’s officers to organize themselves as they see fit, provided their division meets company standards for performance and output. |

All employees are expected to adhere to the following standards of behavior at all times:
- Crewmembers must report in a timely manner for their assigned shifts
- Intoxication with alcohol or psychoactive drugs is strictly forbidden while on duty

Safety Precautions |
For your safety and the safety of those around you, the Ozymandias Pandimensional Mining Corporation enforces the following safety regulations:
- All personnel must be attached to a safety line at all times when on the Mobile Surveying Platform’s exterior, including the flight deck.
- All personnel must travel in groups of two or more while exploring uncharted or dangerous territory, and must remain in radio contact with the Mobile Surveying Platform at all times.
- Attempt peaceful contact with all intelligent local life. Do not proceed to confrontation unless they take hostile action first. Attempt to defuse all imminent hostile situations.
- Stay clear of all active vehicles and machinery.
- Do not eat, drink, or inhale deeply of anything which has not yet been certified as safe for human consumption by the Medical team.
- Use protective gear, including gloves, goggles, and heavy aprons, when handling unknown flora or fauna.
- All personnel must undergo a monthly physical examination and bimonthly psychological evaluation, performed by members of the Medical division. The medical team has the authority to relieve employees of duty if they judge them to be physically or mentally unfit for duty. Persistent refusal to undergo regular physical or psychological evaluations may constitute grounds for relief.
- All individuals with dental fillings, piercings, implants, or other forms of metal in their bodies are advised to stand a minimum of ten feet away from an active Dimensional Transporter at all times
Disregard for one or more of these regulations may be ground for disciplinary action, up to and including termination in extreme cases. |
Shift Roster |
Each twenty-four hour day is broken down into three eight-hour duty shifts: From 0700 to 1500, from 1500 to 2300, and from 2300 to 0700. Of each ten-day cycle, each crewmember will work seven shifts, allowing them three days of rest. If circumstances demand it, the Company reserves the right to schedule a crewmember for up to two consecutive duty shifts. If a crewmember works for more than seven shifts in a ten-day cycle, they are entitled to an overtime rate of one and a half times. Each division’s duty roster is constructed by its officers. |
Artifact Retrieval |
The following procedures must be followed when retrieving artifacts for assessment.
- Except in the event of emergency, avoid bare-skin contact with alien artifacts at all times. Use the provided protective gloves when handling.
- All artifacts must be immediately placed inside a sealed bio-filter bag (provided) for transport purposes.
- Upon return to the Mobile Surveying Platform, all artifacts must be presented to the Medical division, who will scan it for signs of alien disease or contaminant. All personnel who have had direct contact with the artifact must also report to the medbay for assessment and decontamination.
- If the Medical team deems the artifact safe, it is removed from the biofilter bag and transferred to the Science division for further analysis.
